Zsuzsanna Beyer

Growing up in picturesque Budapest and later studying in Germany has given Zsuzsanna an extraordinary worldview. It’s something she loves to share with her clients every day. “I am so passionate about my work,” says Zsuzsanna. Her beautiful and soothing spa combines meticulous European skin care practices with an American focus on the total restorative experience.

“When our clients come in,” says Zsuzsanna, “I want them to feel like they have been on a mini-vacation. After an hour or two of treatments with us, you can get a fresh start and a new spark.”

“What makes us different is the level of care here,” she says. “That’s why our tagline is ‘Beauty with a heart.’ I have an amazing staff. Family and teamwork is what it’s all about.”

Though owning and running a business is challenging, she savors all aspects of the role. Zsuzsanna speaks four languages and studied hospitality and business with a focus on art history. Her work ethic and tenacity come from her mother, Andrea, and grandmother, she says.

“Growing up, I was an athlete,” she says. “I was a swimmer and a runner and that helped to make me tough on the inside. My grandmother, Emila, taught me to always do the work first, then do the fun part. That lesson has stayed with me. I think that’s why I have such a strong work ethic.”

Zsuzsanna first arrived in the Philadelphia area in 1996. She began her skincare career at a popular European spa in Wayne, PA. Several years later, the ownership there changed. She knew it was the right time to follow her dream, take the leap, and open her first business.

“I’m always positive and see the glass half-full,” she says. “I wanted the focus of my spa to be a warm, friendly, and calming place where people can come to escape from the daily stress of life.”

Today she is serving clients that she has had for years, as well as welcoming those coming in for the first time. “Taking care of my clients and working with my amazing coworkers is pure joy,” says Zsuzsanna. “This is what I always wanted to do.”

Renee King

Renee, an outstanding esthetician, takes pleasure in helping clients understand the importance of using the best professional skincare ingredients. In addition to customized facials, Renee also specializes in chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, and advanced skin analysis.

She is a certified medical aesthetic laser technician and is also certified in eyelash extensions. “I really enjoy making our clients look and feel more rejuvenated,” says Renee, a wife, mother, and devoted grandmother. “I like helping them understand how to improve the condition of their skin and to help them age gracefully.”

Renee has applied her skills for over a decade with Day Spa by Zsuzsanna. She calls the spa a relaxing, hidden oasis. “It’s not only the care we give our clients that makes us so different,” she says. “It’s that our clients know that we care about them. Beauty really comes through the heart. It’s our slogan. But the true meaning, I caught that from Zsuzsanna.”

Communication is the key to success, she says. “I always ask the client what they are looking for and then I try my best to meet or exceed what they want. I am always working with them to give them what they need. I am most pleased when the client and I can both see the results.”

When she is not at the spa, Renee, a woman of faith, loves to spend time with her family, especially her four adorable grandchildren. She is a Zumba enthusiast, enjoys healthful cooking and staying active. A few of her favorite activities are biking and hiking.

Gloria Antonopolous

Born and raised in a small village in Northern Greece, Gloria brings over 40 years of extensive skin care experience to Day Spa by Zsuzsanna. Specializing in facials, microcurrent treatments, microdermabrasion, light therapy, waxing, and lash/brow dye, she began her training with the legendary Georgette Klinger.

After 11 years of cultivating her skills at the venerable salon on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, she moved to Philadelphia. She joined the staff of a local spa and received ongoing specialized training in her mentor’s signature techniques in skin and body analysis. She traveled to Barcelona for exclusive training with Germaine de Capuccini. Gloria has been featured in numerous publications, from Main Line News to Philadelphia Magazine’s

Best of Philly. Having garnered another 26 years of practical experience in holistic skin and body treatment, Gloria is now excited to share the breadth of her experience with the clients at Day Spa by Zsuzsanna.

Best known for her gentle touch, Gloria delivers customized skin treatments based on individual needs. Building strong relationships with clients is a foundation of the service at Day Spa by Zsuzsanna. “It’s important to me that the clients trust me and look forward to coming to the spa,” she says. “We teach them how to care for their skin at home, too. This will help to maximize the benefits of the treatments we deliver here at the spa.”

Gloria and Zsuzsanna have been colleagues for many years. “She is my boss, but she is also a friend to me,” says Gloria. “She tries to make everyone happy and that makes me happy.”

Tina Pino

After 30 years in law and business management, Tina decided to take the opportunity to follow her true passion…skin care! She spent her first several months training with Zsuzsanna. “I feel so blessed to have received over 20 years worth of knowledge from Zsuzsanna. Working side-by-side with her was the opportunity of a lifetime for an esthetician like me and I am so grateful to be able to pass all of that knowledge and experience onto my clients to help them look and feel their best!“

Tina’s specialties are medical aesthetic procedures such as microneedling, nano needling, and ultrasound therapy, as well as facials, micro dermabrasion, chemical peels, microcurrent treatments, dermaplaning, CryoTouch and light therapy. She says, “I love learning about new treatment options and bringing new technology into my treatment room to assure my clients have state of the art options to achieve their skin care goals.

Massage Therapist, Adrienn Karsai joined the Zsuzsanna team in the spring of 2018. Trained in reflexology as well as massage therapy, she provides our body treatments and masks with attention to her client's needs.

Annette Baldwin

Massage Therapist, Annette Baldwin joined Day Spa by Zsuzsanna in the winter of 2020.

Annette graduated from Anthem Institute for massage therapy in 2010. Since then she had pursued multiple careers before finally taking the plunge into the world of Massage Therapy. Her normal pressure ranges between medium and firm and she has taken a special interest in sports massage and Oncology massage courses. She enjoys her practice because it is just as therapeutic for her to give the massage as it is for her client during the session. Her favorite massages to give are the ones that help her client regain functionality in their body whether from an injury or surgery. She aspires to specialize in Orthopedic massage one day.

Some of her hobbies include hiking, reading, cooking, and bird watching.

Traci Imel

Traci Imel is a medical esthetician, who specializes in improving the health, texture and appearance of the skin through treatments such as facials, waxing, chemical peels and collagen induction therapy. She also has the unique scope of also being a master lash extension stylist, to enhance the appears of longer, fuller lashes and is also a recognized make-up artist. “Having passion and talent do not make me unique, teaching others to apply makeup and knowing the correct products to select for their individual skincare needs has become truly what I am passionate about.”

Offering a wide variety of unique services is how working with her is an investment and enhancement to your lifestyle. “Healthy vibrant skin is the canvas to any added artistry. Knowledge of what to do next is how I provide you a memorable result.”

Traci is best known in the industry as not only a resource to her colleagues but as a stand alone beauty and medical esthetician expert. From the very beginning her unique style and standard of excellence has been evident which ultimately earned her accomplishment of performing celebrity applications. She has traveled extensively to both teach and conduct seminars on the application of skincare and makeup. Word of mouth has driven her success in the New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the D.C. markets. To sum it up Traci is the best choice for A Beautiful You!

Kelli Czajkowski

Kelli is a esthetician with a lifelong passion for skincare, general wellness, and helping
others. When offered a position to work alongside Zsuzsanna, Kelli seized the opportunity,
recognizing that her personal passions were in perfect alignment with the core principles
upon which Day Spa by Zsuzsanna was founded.

The education she received has given her the ability to understand skin on the biological
level, as well as an expertise in the chemistry of the products she uses. Kelli views all of
her clients as unique and assesses each client individually. She enjoys customizing
treatments to suit the specific needs of each individual’s personal skincare goals.

When asked why she loves her job, Kelli says, “everyone works together, shares similar
values and that creates a welcoming and soothing atmosphere. For me, the greatest
pleasure is seeing someone leaving with a newfound sense of confidence, feeling relaxed
and refreshed.”

From the moment you enter our tranquil spa, Cindy’s warm and welcoming manner will make you feel right at home. “I have always loved helping people,” says Cindy. “When I first met Zsuzsanna, I knew this was my home.”

Ensuring that each client has the most relaxing experience from start to finish is the priority, says Cindy. Every detail of your experience is carefully considered.

Deb Engell

The focus of Deborah’s career has centered in communications, public relations, and financial
support of nonprofit and religious organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, The Pennsylvania League for Nursing, The International Association for Human Caring, Christ’s Community Church, Holy Child Academy in Drexel Hill and ACAPA. She has volunteered for United Way, on-air WHYY fundraising campaigns.

Deborah holds a master’s degree from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership. She is also an alumna of Temple University, School of Communications.

Deborah has been married to Hank for 45 years. She and Hank have two children, Kevin and Katharine, and one grandson, Chase.

Now semi-retired, Deborah brings her compassion,
organization, and leadership skills to serve at the front desk. Her practical bookkeeping fundamentals
support the accounting functions of the spa and manage the inventory of the boutique.
